  • Jeff Gothelf, author lean ux, principal @ neo

    Jeff is a designer and Agile practitioner. He is a leading voice on the topics of Agile UX and Lean UX and a highly sought-after international speaker. In addition, Jeff is the author of the O'Reilly book "LeanUX: Applying lean principles to improve user experience". Jeff has led teams at TheLadders, Publicic Modem, WebTrends, Fidelity, and AOL. 

  • Karen pascoe, senior director ux + design @ Paypal

    Karen is a Senior Director for User Experience Design at PayPal. She’s been working on the future of money through design and has been leading PayPal’s transformation to collaborative methodologies of Lean UX & Agile. Karen has a long track record of helping businesses realize their strategic objectives through design. She’s long been an advocate for collaborative & iterative processes, as a way to enable a faster feedback loop with users.

    Leading and building a great team of researchers who work within agile, multidisciplinary teams to create continuous connection between the British government and its citizens as it transforms to become digital by default. Leisa has a background in formal User Centred Design, Design Research and Information Architecture combined with a passion for making these practices more accessible and more successful for companies with limited time or resources, and for those who work using Agile or Lean methodologies.

    Rochelle King is Global VP of Design and UX at Spotify where she oversees the teams that are responsible for user research and designing the product experience at Spotify. Prior to Spotify, Rochelle was VP of User Experience and Product Services at Netflix, where she managed Design, Enhanced Content, Content Marketing and Localization. Collectively, these groups were responsible for the UI, layout, meta-data and presentation of the Netflix service internationally across all platforms.

    Des is the co-founder and Head of Customer Success at Intercom, working with customers on a daily basis, which gives him first hand knowledge of how to make things people want. Founded in 2011, Intercom has replaced traditional help desks and email marketing products with one, simple platform for thousands of businesses.

  • Dr tendayi viki, academic + entrepreneur @ university of kent

    Dr Tendayi Viki is an academic who teaches Organizational Psychology and Entrepreneurial Innovation at the University of Kent (UK). Holds a PhD in Psychology and an MBA. He is also the Principal Consultant and Founder at Benneli Jacobs and Company, a strategy and innovation consulting firm that helps large organizations develop innovation teams and launch new products using lean startup methods.     I've worked in a variety of industries from manufacturing to telecoms to media and was fortunate enough to witness the lean manufacturing drive at the end of the 90's. I'm passionate about creating environments where people can do their best without reproach. I also believe that quality should not be compromised. I carry with me a toolbox of techniques and thought processes that provide a way forward for whatever task may be at hand, be it bootstrapping a new product stream, forming organisational vision or correcting wayward projects. Oh, and I'm a people-friendly techie :)

tl;dr: Don’t be a Jerk


All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensuring a safe environment for everybody. Need Help? Email petershanley@neo.com or events@neo.com.



The Quick Version


Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organisers.



The Less Quick Version


Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.


Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.


Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.



If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.



We expect participants to follow these rules at conference and workshop venues and conference-related social events.



Refund and Cancellation policy: We completely understand that sometimes things come up that may force you to change plans. If you need to cancel, there is a $200 cancellation fee until March 11.  After March 11, we're unable to offer any refunds. At any time you can substitute someone else at no additional charge.
